For those of you who have experienced the beauty of
St. Mary, Gate of Heaven,
Church, Ozone Park, no explanation of this
magnificent edifice is necessary.
With its high six- to
eight-story ceiling,
stone surfaces, tall stained glass windows and recently
renovated interior, the church is an acoustical marvel.
To complete the renovation, a new three-manual 50-stop
Allen organ with complete MIDI controls was installed.
The drawknob console is to the left side of the altar,
in full view of the congregation. In addition,
from the back of the church, high in the choir
loft, a swell antiphonal organ sings out.
