Hi Bob & Claire!
Research for our organ was done with our feet.
(There were no websites then!) We simply visited different studios
and collected the "spec's" on different electronic
organs. Then we met Robert Wyatt and Claire Arnold at the Allen
studio in Garden City, New York in 1974 and we purchased our
first Allen organ. The Allen replaced a Hammond draw bar organ
we'd bought a year earlier.
The Allen dealership in our area run by Robert
Wyatt and Claire Arnold stayed in touch with us by mail and
phone, keeping us abreast of anything new that might interest
us. As a result, we purchased a new Allen organ three years
later. One just isn't enough! We also have to mention that the
demonstrations given in our homes after the purchase were a
real musical treat.
With the purchase of our Allen organ we've
become part of a "family" of Allen owners. Bob and
Claire encourage this even further with social gatherings at
the studio, church demonstrations and in different home where
we meet other Allen owners and share information and music.
The Allen organ has brought us new musical
experiences, new friends, and has generally made our lives so
much richer.
Sincerely,
Ernest and Viola Cox |
